Our Name
The Legacy of Arbeia
Arbeia was the name of the Roman fort that once stood at the mouth of the River Tyne in what is now South Shields. Built nearly two thousand years ago, it served as a supply base for Hadrian’s Wall — a structure designed to endure the ages.
We chose this name because it speaks to everything we believe in: permanence, strength, and the enduring power of stone. Just as Arbeia has stood the test of time, so too will the memorials we craft for the families of the North East.
