Kerb Sets & Surrounds
About Kerb Sets
A kerb set — sometimes called a grave surround or kerb memorial — encloses the full grave space with a stone border, creating a clearly defined and dignified area. It is one of the most complete and enduring forms of memorial available.
A full kerb set typically consists of four kerb stones forming the border, an upright headstone at the head of the grave, and often a foot stone at the opposite end. The enclosed space is usually filled with granite chippings, though it can also be planted or left as a grass area depending on cemetery regulations.
Kerb sets are permitted in traditional grave sections at most cemeteries we serve. They are not generally permitted in lawn sections, where only upright headstones are allowed. We will confirm what is permitted at your chosen cemetery before any design work begins.
All our kerb sets are manufactured from high-quality granite and installed to NAMM standards with proper concrete foundations. We handle all council permit applications as part of our service.
Components
Kerb Surround

Headstone
An upright headstone at the head of the grave, inscribed with name, dates, and any tribute or artwork you choose.
Foot Stone
A smaller stone at the foot of the grave — often inscribed with a short verse or simply the name. Completes the kerb set symmetrically.
Chipping Fill
The enclosed space can be filled with granite chippings in a colour to complement the stone — white, grey, black, pink, or mixed.
